Read more about Grantsville...

When you’re building patios, walkways, retaining walls, or outdoor kitchens in Grantsville, you need hardscape materials that can handle mountain weather, freeze–thaw cycles, and sloped sites. We stock contractor-grade pavers, natural stone, wall block, base aggregates, and joint sands that perform in Western Maryland’s climate. We offer fast, accurate takeoffs, helpful on-yard guidance, and job-site delivery that navigates steep drives and tight lots. Whether you’re refreshing a front path off Main Street or tackling a full backyard build near the Casselman, our team helps you choose materials, plan proper drainage, and stage deliveries.

Grantsville grew up on travel. In the early 1800s, the National Road (today’s US-40 Alt.) brought stagecoaches and wagons to “Little Crossings,” a busy stop by the Casselman River. The stone arch at what’s now Casselman River Bridge State Park opened in 1813 and, at the time, was the longest single-span stone bridge in the United States—an engineering icon that funneled travelers and commerce through town. Dining and lodging followed, including the log-built hospitality house that evolved into today’s Penn Alps Restaurant & Craft Shop, and the 1842 Casselman Inn serving National Road guests. Grantsville was formally incorporated in 1864 and remains a gateway community in Garrett County, served now by I-68 as well as the historic pike. For more information, see the official town page and Wikipedia entry.
